COVID-19: Mission Services & Announcements

This page contains up-to-date information about how COVID-19 is impacting Mission services. Every effort is being made to facilitate social distancing, adhere to CDC guidelines, and protect clients/staff/community members. We will strive to continue providing services to individuals and families in need during this time.

Food Assistance

Community meals & food boxes are still available. Lunch is served daily at noon, dinner at 5 PM. Until further notice, community meals will be packed to-go and eaten off-site. Please go to the Mission's front office to request and pick up your meal. Thank you for your understanding.

Food boxes are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you would like to pick up a food box, please follow these instructions:

  1. Call before 10 am on the day you would like to pick up your food box: (701) 772-6600 ext. 206. Please leave your first and last name and your phone number. Limit one food box per month per household.
  2. You will be able to pick up your food box at the Mission from 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM on the day that you call. You will need to bring a photo I.D. with you.

Until further notice, food boxes will be prepackaged and picked up at the alley door. Please go to the alley door when you arrive to pick up.

If you are unable to pick up on Tuesday or Thursday, or are home-bound and need assistance getting a food box, please call (701) 772-6600 ext. 200.

The Backpack Program will continue while schools are closed! Backpack meals will be available on Fridays at a student's regularly assigned school during lunch pickup times (11 am - 1 pm). West Elementary students will pick up at Valley Middle School.

The Mission's Mobile Food Pantry will continue to operate. A complete list of dates & locations can be found here. The next location will be Monday, March 30th in the St. Matthew's Church parking lot in Thompson, from 1:00 - 2:30 pm.

Urgent Mission Needs

We are in need of the following items:

  • Toilet Paper
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Over-the-counter daytime cold meds

Client Services

All regular client services will continue. Clients will have access to food, shelter, clothing, hygiene products, shower/laundry facilities, and the Mission's advocacy team. Clients will continue to get housed wherever possible, though we will prioritize following proper safety and social distancing guidelines.


In order to facilitate social distancing and protect staff/clients/community members, the Mission is NOT accepting volunteers at this time. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out asking to help.
