Ways we Fight Poverty

Helping those in need right in our own community
Food Boxes
People in our community often have difficult choices to make between rent, other essentials, and food. Last year, we supplied more than 2800 food boxes to the community. Those in need are able to reserve a monthly food box by calling

Food boxes are now available Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (10:00 am - 7:00 pm on Wednesdays).

COVID-19 Note: Until further notice, food boxes will be prepackaged and picked up at Door 2 (under the green awning). Thank you!

You Can Help a Child This Weekend!
Northlands Rescue Mission is committed to ending hunger in our community. That's why we started the Backpack Program, which provides local children with food every week. More than 740 children receive a bag of food through their school that they can take home over the weekend. We fill it with two breakfast items, two lunch items, two fruit items, two snacks, and two juice pouches. This helps ensure that kids have a healthy and reliable source of food over the weekend. It also helps parents save money so that they can pay the bills and purchase items their children need, such as school supplies.

When you support the Backpack Program, you are supporting a child's future. Please consider making a donation below or sign up to volunteer for the program!
